County Cup Reporting Results

For the 2016-17 season the Berks & Bucks FA will be using Full-Time to administer it's County Cup competitions. As a result, there are certain things that clubs will need to take note of, however this will make it easier for clubs to manage their Cup entries along with sending and receiving notifications.

One of the key features of Full-Time is to provide the County FA with the facility to have fixtures and referee appointments automatically emailed to clubs and referees on a 'need-to-know' basis. Emails will be sent when the fixtures and/or appointments are created or adjusted, and also as a reminder closer to match time.

Club Secretaries have been set up as the contact to receive these automatic email notifications and should have received an email containing a link to confirm this (if you haven't already confirmed this, please do so ASAP). We have received feedback that this confirmation email may look like SPAM, so please check your junk filters / folders to retrieve it.

In addition, each club may log in to Whole Game System and either replace the Team Full-Time Email Contact or add further contacts (e.g. if you want the team manager to receive emails as well as the Club Secretary). From a County FA perspective, we would highly recommend adding a second contact, though please still ensure the Club Secretary receives the notification as well. There is no limit to the number of contacts that can be set up for each team.

Another new feature will be the facility to have results sent in by SMS text message from clubs. These will be published immediately on the County website. Full-Time sends the SMS prompts and receives results from both the home and away teams. Please note that Full-Time displays the score from the last SMS text that it received, so if you make a mistake with the results you can text it in again to correct it.

The format of the text message you will receive is below: (please note though, the CHED and ARSD are only example team short codes)

FA Full-Time Results: CHED v ARSD, Sun 12 Feb 14:15. Reply with H-A score & Code CHED, followed by AET & Pens if required. E.g. CHED 2-2 3-3 AET 3-1 PENS

As this shows, the Team Administrator may therefore be required to send back up to 4 pieces of information:
  - Score - the score after normal time in the usual way
  - Short Code (for your team) - if required to submit a short code, this identifies which team is involved
  - Extra-time Score - the scoreline after extra time, followed by AET (this is essential, as this identifies the score before extra time)
  - Penalty score - the score after penalties, followed by PEN (this is essential, as this identifies the score before penalties)

Here are some examples of what to send back (All of the following examples assume that no team code is required):

2-1 Reports that the home team won 2-1 in normal time.

2-2 3-2 AET Reports that the home team won 3-2 after extra time, the game having finished 2-2 at the end of normal time.

2-2 4-3 PENS Reports that the home team won 4-3 after penalties, the game having finished 2-2 at the end of normal time, with no extra time played.

2-2 3-3 AET 4-3 PENS Reports that the home team won 4-3 after penalties, the game having finished 2-2 at the end of normal time, and 3-3 at the end of extra time.

The SMS contact will automatically will be selected as the Club Secretary (assuming you have provided us with a mobile contact number). However clubs may log in to Whole Game System and replace the Team Full-Time SMS Contact as stated above.

Please note - only one SMS user may be used for each team. By amending this information, you are only affecting text messages you receive in relation to County Cups. If your League is using Full-Time, it will not affect any of the details you have set up with your League.
