Obtaining a Criminal Record Check (CRC)

To make it easier for members to have their documents checked and verified by Berks & Bucks FA staff, we have arranged a number of verification sessions across the County. If you wish to book on any of the dates, detailed below, please email the relevant person prior to the meeting date and provide your contact details. A confirmation email will then be sent outlining further details including the full address of the venue.

How we handle reported concerns

The welfare & safeguarding of young people and vulnerable adults in football is our primary concern. Your concern will be treated with the respect and importance that it deserves.  From your initial concern being reported to its conclusion, our Safeguarding team,  will respond asking for additional information so that we can build up a complete picture of the concern. The safeguarding of the child or vulnerable adult in football will be the centre of the investigation.

Support for Welfare Officers

With over 250 Welfare Officers operating in our grassroots clubs and leagues, support is paramount. Our Safeguarding Team will send you regular updates and give you opportunities throughout the season to meet and learn more. We understand the importance of this role and the support that our welfare Officers may need during difficult situations.  If you are a Welfare Officer and need support, please get in touch.

Staying up to Date

Berks & Bucks FA have a dedicated resource for Club and League Welfare Officers. Hive Learning is a online portal accessible via a mobile app or via the internet. This is a dedicated, closed group where Welfare Officers can share ideas, receive updates from the Safeguarding Team and collectively support each other. If you would like to be added to the group, please contact us: Safeguarding@Berks-BucksFA.com
