Welcome to BBFA Juniors

BBFA Juniors is a pilot programme from Berks & Bucks FA whihc focusses on educating young players and raising awareness among children and adults of key safeguarding issues that can arise in youth football and The FA’s youth RESPECT programme ‘We Only Do Positive’.

To help achieve this, we have devised a programme which will allow us to promote these messages in a fun and relatable way for children whilst also being able to provide information and guidance to parents/guardians, coaches and other adults involved in youth football.

BBFA Juniors is a cartoon football team brought to life in comic strip format. With the help of the team’s joint captains and best friends, BB & Faye, you will follow the BBFA Juniors’ football journey throughout a season. Individual comic strips share the experience of their first training session where they meet their new Coach, join them in training sessions and on match days where they will show how the team deal with various common situations and scenarios that can arise in youth football.

Best friends, BB & Faye

Each of the comic strips aims to highlight and bring focus to situations and challenges that can occur in youth football. They will show how young members of the team handle these situations and the steps they, and the adults around them, can take to help them deal with or overcome them.

Although the overall aim of the pilot scheme is to educate and raise awareness, we also want it to be as fun and engaging as possible and to spark conversations about safeguarding and respect.

The scheme is currently being piloted with the Reading & West Berkshire Youth Football League and teams from U7 to U11s. For more information about the scheme, or if you have any questions, please contact us via the details below.
