Womens Begginers and Social Football

Womens Football- Get Started

In Buckinghamshire we have been supporting social Ladies football teams to start up. The initial group established 5 years ago is now based in Amersham training on Monday evenings if you would like more information or to join please contact Donna on donnasnip@hotmail.co.uk

There is also now a group of mums playing at both Penn & Tylers FC and Chalfont St.Peter FC
This gives mums of all ages to try out football in a comfortable and friendly environment. To get involved please contact bradders_64@hotmail.co.uk at Penn & Tylers FC and sue@holdship.f9.co.uk at Chalfont St Peter.

Bucks CC and Prestwood have also began beginners sessions please contact Sharon at Bucks CC sharonosull@btinternet.com and Mark at Prestwood markandgaye@hotmail.co.uk.

A ladies beginners course was ran in Reading this spring with over 18 ladies talking part.
All the ladies had many different reasons for talking part, some were teachers looking for ideas for sessions and to gain confidence in running sessions. Some players were already playing for teams and looking for a new experience and some players were mums who wanted to get more involved with their children’s teams.
The course ran for ten weeks covering all the basics from passing to defending, all the ladies really enjoyed the sessions and are hoping to continue developing their skills.

Women’s FUTSAL Summer League
Over the summer when training venues were more freely available, we ran a two tiered Futsal competition with invites going to local competitive and social teams. The first hour was for the Social teams either playing alone or with additional competitive players to bolster confidence and ensure matches were not one sided. The Second hour saw the competitive teams play against each other. This also allowed the stronger social players to stay on and play with the competitively, hopefully encouraging the move across into 11 a side clubs. Most of the teams used the friendly Round Robin League for pre season fitness and skill session and feedback was positive from all the teams involved.
