Meet the Team

Meet our four skills team coaches Tom, Adam, Dan and Mark

 

Tom Hartley

Tom is the Team Leader of The FA Tesco Skills team in Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.

Tom has been involved in football for over 10 years in America and the UK. Before joining The FA Tesco Skills Programme as Team Leader in Berkshire & Buckinghamshire, Tom worked as a coach with Manchester United and Swindon Town.

Tom is a Level 3 qualified coach and has completed the FA Youth Award modules 1, 2 and 3. He has also represented The FA as a coaching expert across the world including the Bahamas.

As well as leading the Berkshire and Buckinghamshire team, Tom works with children and schools in the Newbury area.

Adam Burrows

Adam works with children and schools in Aylesbury as part of the Berkshire and Buckinghamshire FA Tesco Skills team.

Adam is a former semi-professional footballer, and has since coached in the US and England. Before joining the programme, Adam worked in the Football in the Community schemes and Centres of Excellence at Wycombe Wanderers and Reading FC.

Adam is a Level 2 qualified coach and has completed the FA Youth Award modules 1 and 2. He is also working towards his UEFA B License, and when that doesn’t keep him busy he studies part-time for his BSc in Applied Coaching Sciences at Buckinghamshire New University.

Daniel Saunders

Daniel is a FA Tesco Skills coach with the Berkshire and Buckinghamshire team.

Daniel works with children and schools in Milton Keynes as part of the Berkshire and Buckinghamshire FA Tesco Skills team. A talented goalkeeping coach, he started working with the Under-10 keepers at Watford FC in 2003 and also coached through their Football in the Community programme.

Daniel is a Level 2 qualified coach and has completed the FA Youth Award modules 1 and 2. In his spare time, he coaches the goalkeepers at non-league Hamel Hampstead Town.

Mark Potter

Mark is a FA Tesco Skills coach with the Berkshire and Buckinghamshire team.

Mark comes from Sussex, but his coaching career has taken him across the world, including teaching children in the USA one of the fastest growing sports in America – “soccer”. His latest journey as part of The FA Tesco Skills Programme takes him to Newbury with the Berkshire and Buckinghamshire team.

Mark has a BA in Football Studies and has always aspired to work with and educate children. As well as his honours degree, Mark is a Level 2 qualified coach and completed Youth Award modules 1 and 2.
